Meet Maria
Maria is a professional chef who has over 20 years of experience creating healthy and delicious meals. Maria has pursued her passion of cooking by working as a sous chef in Argentina, Europe, and the San Francisco Bay Area. After working in Michelin Star restaurants, Maria began cooking for her family (two-young sons) and begun creating healthier versions and creations of the food she has grown to love.
Maria is passionate about customizing meals to the body’s needs – largely due to her own journey with food. When she left Argentina as a young chef, Maria became a vegan until her pregnancies. Since birth, Maria has battled against Thalassemia (a blood disorder), which put her more at risk during her pregnancies. Doctor’s recommended she undergo blood transfusions, but she found great success by instead reincorporating meat back into her diet. When she raised her boys, she chose to eat vegetarian but keep her boys on a meat + vegetables diet. As Maria entered her mid-40s, she experienced low-blood pressure. To combat this, she began learning and participating in Low-Carb USA, to understand what her body was dealing with at this age. Maria became certified to better coach in low-carb and clean-keto cooking. She is currently working towards an additional certification as a nutritionist to provide even better service to her clients. All this to say, Maria sees value in many versions of eating and how they can serve people at different times in their lives. When it comes to food, Maria has seen it all and she has dedicated her life to helping others eat and live well.
Today, Maria specializes in providing professional and personalized food consulting services + cooking classes in, but not limited, to low-carb, high-protein, clean-keto (real food with no preservatives, no cans), and always organic meal plans. Maria follows meal plans that are recommended with modern medicine to help with diabetes, cholesterol, and other diseases.
